The success of RBE at Wind Energy Hamburg 2016

Wind Energy Hamburg 2016 came to a close with highly positive results – international visitors and exhibitors from all parts of the globe, numerous reports of successful business deals, and development of new markets.

The 2016 edition of Wind Energy Hamburg was even more international than the first held in 2014, with some 35,000 trade visitors from 48 nations coming to Hamburg. The percentage of visitors from abroad rose to about 40%, and the percentage of international exhibitors to 44%. “Many of the companies have done extensive business at the expo,” said Bernd Aufderheide, President and CEO of Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH.

WindEnergy Hamburg ran for four days, from 27 to 30 September, with some 1,400 exhibitors from 34 nations unveiling their innovative products and services for the onshore and offshore sector, which took up 9 exhibition halls.

The results of a representative visitor survey by an independent market research agency showed that more than half the expo visitors are directly involved in their companies’ business decisions. Some 60% came to the world’s leading expo for wind energy with the aim of gaining new business leads. Interest in products and services was approximately equal for the offshore and onshore sectors. More than 90% of visitors emphasized the importance of the strong international participation and the bandwidth of the products and services showcased at the expo.

WindEnergy Hamburg is the event where planners, manufacturers, equipment suppliers, financial service providers, operators and service companies present their solutions. Energiekontor’s Rotor Blade Extension is no exception. This was the second time that the company has been present. Already in September 2014, Energiekontor had presented their services and products, including the RBE – Rotor Blade Extension .

This year, the new edition of Wind Energy Hamburg also yielded good results for Energiekontor’s services, with particular emphasis on the RBE.

When asked about Wind Energy Hamburg, Raquel Salavessa, Managing Director of the Rotor Blade Extension Department – RBE and Energiekontor’s representative, said: “The international fair in Hamburg had an extraordinary participation of businesses and visitors, either in number or in quality of representation. All areas of the wind energy business were present. We can thus meet and reconcile, in the same space, a plethora of opportunities. Moreover, the level of innovation was excellent and many R&D companies with great potential participated in it.”

With regard to the interest in Energiekontor and particularly in the RBE from visitors, Raquel Salavessa explained that: “a clear evolution in looking for asset improvement solutions in wind farms has been noticed. The RBE product was received with great interest, with special attention from several companies across the world.”

Our team always considered that these type of events are a great opportunity to meet interesting people, partners and potential clients, and the Wind Energy Hamburg fair is not different. Raquel Salavessa said that “the presence of Energiekontor group at this kind of events is already a tradition. Integrating all aspects of business, Energiekontor promotes a more comprehensive disclosure of their potential, showing that their sustainability is increasing, throughout these 25 years of existence.”
